Jan Kavan

Jan Kavan is a former Czech politician and diplomat. Kavan was educated at the Charles University in Prague, the London School of Economics and the University of Reading. He was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic from 1998 to 2002 and one of the deputy prime ministers from 1999 to 2002. He was elected President of the United Nations General Assembly and acted in this office from 2002 to 2003.
